b. Required Education & Experience
- With a degree in engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification;
- Previous work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician
- Understanding about safety at work
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance
- Knowledge about pneumatics and hydraulics and their related components
- Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools
- Experience in welding procedures
- Knowledge in the use of measuring tools
- Knowledge about the correct use of lifting equipment
- Knowledge in the use and understanding of manufacturing and assembly drawings
- Knowledge in the use and understanding of electrical plans & wiring diagrams
- Knowledge in installing and connecting electrical cables and electrical components according to electrical plans
- Knowledge about electrical equipment
- Knowledge about control systems is considered an advantage
- Experience in maintenance and replacing of mechanical and electrical components of machinery and equipment is considered an advantage
- Knowledge about local regulations such as the Electrical Code or similar is of considerable advantage
Main Tasks & Responsibility
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
- Installing new production equipment.
- Servicing and maintaining equipment of production-related and building equipment.
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues
- Perform other general maintenance tasks including, but not limited to painting, carpentry and constructing of basic manufacturing equipment
- Support production and logistics as needed
